Geumcheon Youth Network Online Performance Sharing Event Held

Live YouTube Broadcast at 2 PM on the 5th... Introduction of Youth-Proposed Youth Autonomous Budget Projects, Sharing of Activities So Far... Celebration Performance, Participant Quiz, and Open Discussion on the Direction of Geumcheon Youth Network

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yuseong Hoon) will hold the Geumcheon Youth Network (hereinafter Geumcheonet) online performance sharing meeting via YouTube live broadcast at 2 p.m. on the 5th.

This event was prepared to share the achievements of Geumcheonet activities throughout the year and the youth autonomous budget projects proposed by young people with local youth, and to explore the development direction of local youth policies and youth networks.

The performance sharing meeting will be richly composed of the results of the 2020 youth autonomous budget projects proposed by young people last year, the announcement of the 2021 project plan, sharing of activities so far, support videos, and congratulatory performances.

Also, during the event, there will be a participant quiz event to provide information about youth policies and a free discussion time with on-site participants about the significance and future direction of Geumcheonet.

Anyone who is a local youth, including Geumcheonet participants, can participate in this performance sharing meeting.

Meanwhile, ‘Geumcheonet’ is an active resident participation platform that discovers and proposes various policy agendas to solve local youth issues. Through the activities of the first committee members last year, projects such as ‘Support for Youth Network Activation,’ ‘Youth Cultural Diversity Lab Project,’ and ‘Youth Living Environment Improvement Project’ were included in the 2020 Seoul Youth Autonomous Budget.

This year, the second committee members have been active and achieved the inclusion of four projects in the 2021 Seoul Youth Autonomous Budget: ‘Youth-Friendly Small and Strong Company Exploration Project,’ ‘Youth Shelter Classroom Operation,’ ‘Geumcheon Art Market Geumjari,’ and ‘Support for Youth Network Activation.’

Mayor Yuseong Hoon said, “Although there were many difficulties in network meetings and activities due to COVID-19 this year, I send support and encouragement to the youth who actively participated in the district administration,” and added, “I hope that Geumcheon Youth Network will be further activated through more participation and activities of young people in the future.”
