[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Professor Kim Geunsik of Gyeongnam National University, chairman of the People Power Party’s Seoul Songpa-byeong district committee, predicted on the 1st that the court’s approval of the injunction to suspend the execution of the order to remove Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol from duty marked "the beginning of the 'fall of the moon.'"

In a post on his Facebook that day, Professor Kim targeted Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae, saying, "Like the true nature of an autumn wind, it has become like falling autumn leaves."

He continued, "When attempts to oust Prosecutor General Yoon through investigative command rights, personnel rights, and inspection rights failed, it was no longer a reckless move," adding, "However, Choo-darc (Minister Choo) recklessly performed a wild dance of duty suspension and disciplinary initiation, and ultimately, this reckless move brought disaster."

He also emphasized, "All prosecutors nationwide participated, including deputy chiefs, chiefs, chief prosecutors, high prosecutors, and even prosecutors from the Ministry of Justice and the Inspection Office appealed against Choo Mi-ae’s unfairness," and "Deputy Prosecutor General Cho Nam-gwan, the inspection office prosecutor who attempted face-to-face inspection, and Ministry of Justice section chiefs all agreed that the duty suspension was unjust."

Professor Kim pointed out, "Truly, only a handful blinded by power stand with Choo Mi-ae; now Choo Mi-ae is trapped in a desperate situation," calling it "like falling autumn leaves."

He added, "Now the fall of Choo and Moon begins," asserting, "Public opinion, the prosecution inside, and the courts have all opposed the power’s reckless attempt to oust Yoon Seok-yeol."

He further criticized, "It is not only Choo Mi-ae who ends like falling autumn leaves, but the incompetent, arrogant, and shameless progressive government, and above it, President Moon, who will fall together with Choo Mi-ae," and "Everyone knows that Choo Mi-ae is merely the front-line leader, while the mastermind behind is the incompetent, irresponsible, and obstinate President Moon Jae-in."

Meanwhile, on the same day, the Administrative Court of Seoul, Administrative Division 4 (Chief Judge Jo Mi-yeon) partially approved the injunction application filed by Prosecutor General Yoon against Minister Choo’s order to remove him from duty. Accordingly, the duty suspension order issued by Minister Choo against Prosecutor General Yoon on the 24th of last month will temporarily lose its effect until the 30th.

The court explained, "Duty suspension constitutes tangible and intangible damages that cannot be endured by monetary compensation," and "Even if (Prosecutor General Yoon) wins the lawsuit, the damage cannot be restored."

Based on this judgment, the court added, "The urgent necessity to seek suspension of effect is recognized."
