[Asia Economy Reporter Wondara] Former Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Yoon Jun-ho has been indicted without detention on charges of receiving 30 million won from a construction company.
Busan District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 1st that former lawmaker Yoon was indicted without detention for violating the Political Funds Act.
According to the prosecution, former lawmaker Yoon is suspected of receiving a total of 30 million won from the representative of a construction company in three installments until 2019 after being elected as a member of the National Assembly in the June 2018 by-election.
Former lawmaker Yoon ran in the 21st general election but was defeated by Kim Mi-ae, the candidate of the People Power Party. Yoon was elected in the Busan Haeundae-eul district in the June 2018 by-election. Currently, he is serving as a special advisor to party leader Lee Nak-yeon, who took office in mid-last month.
