[Asia Economy Reporter Wondara] The Democratic Party of Korea stated that the court's decision to reinstate Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol does not constitute a judgment on whether the grounds for disciplinary action are appropriate.
Shin Young-dae, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, said in a text message sent to reporters on the 1st, "The court's decision regarding Prosecutor General Yoon is not a judgment on whether the grounds for disciplinary action against him are appropriate," adding, "We will wait for the disciplinary committee's judgment."
Earlier, the Seoul Administrative Court Administrative Division 4 (Presiding Judge Cho Mi-yeon) approved the suspension of execution application filed by Prosecutor General Yoon in response to Minister Chu's order to exclude him from duty. Accordingly, Prosecutor General Yoon returned to work around 5:10 p.m. that day by arriving at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. The disciplinary committee regarding Prosecutor General Yoon is scheduled to be held on the 4th.
