[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 1st that the Gundoong-myeon Youth Association donated 2 million won on the 30th of last month, asking for support for neighbors in need within the district, taking the lead in raising funds for the Hope 2021 Sharing Campaign to help neighbors.
Park Yeon-bae, president of the Gundoong-myeon Youth Association, stated, "We want to create a Gangjin that shares together through giving," and expressed, "I want to contribute to helping neighbors in need within the district so they can have a healthy winter."
Lee Seung-ok, the county governor who attended the donation ceremony, said, "I thank the members of the Gundoong-myeon Youth Association for donating funds to help neighbors in need," and added, "The Gundoong-myeon Youth Association is spreading a culture of sharing and giving, which will be a great example for the happy development of Gangjin."
Meanwhile, the donated funds will be designated and entrusted to the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea and will be used to support neighbors in need within the district (elderly, children, single-parent families, etc.).
The Gundoong-myeon Youth Association has 24 active members and carries out small-scale home repair volunteer work and environmental cleanup volunteer activities every year.
