[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SsangYong Motor announced on the 1st that it sold a total of 11,859 units in the global market last November, including 9,270 units domestically and 2,589 units for export.
This performance marks the first time this year that sales exceeded 11,000 units, as both domestic and export markets showed signs of recovery, breaking the record for the highest monthly sales this year set last month.
In particular, thanks to the launch of new models, sales increased by 16.3% compared to the previous month and by 10.3% compared to the same month last year. This represents a clear recovery trend, surpassing sales from the same month last year for two consecutive months following last month.
Domestic sales surpassed 9,000 units again after five months since June, driven by the successful launch of the All New Rexton. The All New Rexton led this upward trend with a significant growth rate of 23.1% compared to the same month last year. Exports, which have been on the rise for five consecutive months since June, also recorded a 71% increase compared to the same month last year, achieving the highest monthly sales performance this year.
SsangYong Motor plans to maintain this growth momentum by strengthening its global market strategy through differentiated marketing tactics and diversification of product mix in overseas markets, as both domestic and export sales continue to recover alongside new model launches.
Additionally, the company intends to prepare for the 'post-COVID' market phase by enhancing various untact marketing and non-face-to-face channels, such as untact purchase estimate services and safe pick-up test drive services, as well as reorganizing its global sales network.
