[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seok-jin] On the 1st, a day before the Ministry of Justice's Prosecutor Disciplinary Committee meeting, the side of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol requested the Ministry of Justice to disclose the list of disciplinary committee members.

Lee Wan-gyu, the attorney representing Prosecutor General Yoon, appeared at the Inspection Committee held at the Ministry of Justice Gwacheon Office that morning, and after delivering his statement, told reporters, "We have filed an information disclosure request with the Ministry of Justice to reveal the names of the prosecutor disciplinary committee members."

Attorney Lee also said, "To defend at the disciplinary committee, we need to know the status of the disciplinary records and the grounds for them, but the Ministry of Justice has not yet responded," adding, "The defense lawyers are struggling to prepare their defense."

Meanwhile, Attorney Lee stated that he emphasized the unfairness of the disciplinary request and the suspension order against Prosecutor General Yoon at the Inspection Committee held that day.

He said, "The alleged misconduct cited as grounds for the disciplinary request lacks substance, and basic procedures were not followed as sufficient opportunities for explanation were not provided," adding, "Since the disciplinary authority was exercised under these conditions, I asked the inspection committee members to issue appropriate recommendations."

The Inspection Committee ended 1 hour and 30 minutes later than originally scheduled.

It is known that Yu Hyuk, the Inspection Officer, and Park Eun-jung, the Inspection Officer in charge, also attended on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.
