[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Jeonnam Damyang-gun (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 1st that it held a completion ceremony for the 'New Farmers' Farming Settlement Education Basic Farming Class' on the 30th of last month.
The New Farmers' Farming Settlement Education is a program that supports stable rural settlement by providing education on farming techniques in areas of interest and adaptation to rural life for prospective returnees and new farmers planning to move to rural areas. It was conducted over two months from October to last month.
The completion ceremony was held in a simplified manner, including awards for outstanding students and distribution of certificates. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, sufficient quarantine measures were observed according to the government's social distancing guidelines, such as maintaining distance between attendees, checking for fever and respiratory symptoms, and disinfection.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "We hope this education has been of great help in successfully settling in Damyang," and added, "We will continue to provide generous support for many people to realize their agricultural dreams in Damyang."
