Ottogi Launches Flavor Ensemble Dumplings 'X.O. Gyoza Kimchi'


[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Ottogi announced on the 1st that it has launched ‘X.O. Gyoza Kimchi,’ filled with carefully selected ingredients.


‘X.O. Gyoza Kimchi’ is a dumpling generously filled with premium ingredients such as 100% domestically sourced pork and Korean vegetables. Using the ‘liquid vacuum kneading method’ to make the dumpling skin in a vacuum state, it creates a chewier and moister wrapper, perfectly harmonizing the spicy taste of kimchi with the savory flavor of tofu to complete an ensemble of dumpling flavors.


‘X.O. Gyoza Kimchi’ features a fresher and spicier taste by using kimchi that is re-seasoned after draining the water from salted napa cabbage. The kimchi is cut into large pieces of 10?20mm to enhance texture, and dehydrated tofu with less than 70% moisture content is used to reduce the dumpling’s wateriness. The kimchi uses aged red pepper powder, allowing consumers to enjoy the clean, authentic taste of kimchi dumplings.


An Ottogi representative said, “We have launched ‘X.O. Gyoza Kimchi,’ filled with the finest ingredients,” adding, “Various consumer events will be held on the X.O. Dumpling website.”
