[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] KGC Ginseng Corporation provided Jeonggwanjang Red Ginseng to holders and honorary holders of national intangible cultural assets who strive to preserve Korea's cultural heritage.
KGC Ginseng Corporation announced on the 1st that it recently delivered Jeonggwanjang Red Ginseng Extract to 206 human cultural assets registered with the Cultural Heritage Administration at its Seoul headquarters.
The Cultural Heritage Administration previously designated "Ginseng Cultivation and Medicinal Culture," which includes the technology of cultivating and processing ginseng and the culture of consuming ginseng-related foods, as a national intangible cultural asset, marking the first in the agricultural field.
To commemorate the designation of ginseng as a national intangible cultural asset, KGC Ginseng Corporation gifted red ginseng to human cultural assets who work to preserve Korea's cultural heritage.
Considering that the average age of the human cultural assets is in their 70s, an age group considered elderly, they selected the convenient-to-consume liquid product, "Jeonggwanjang Red Ginseng Extract."
Jeonggwanjang Red Ginseng Extract is a 100% premium red ginseng product carefully brewed using 6-year-old Jeonggwanjang red ginseng roots cultivated over 8 years, containing only red ginseng and water, allowing one to enjoy the deep taste and aroma of Jeonggwanjang root ginseng.
Park Jeong-hwan, Head of Strategy at KGC Ginseng Corporation, said, "Intangible cultural heritage is the product of Korea's living traditional culture," and added, "We deeply appreciate the human cultural assets who have dedicated themselves to continuing these traditions."
