[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Electron Land will conduct pre-orders for the next-generation console game PlayStation 5 (PS5) at 12 PM on the 4th through its official online shopping mall.
Electron Land stated that this event was prepared in line with the trend of more consumers enjoying games at home and increased interest in console game devices this year. In particular, the PlayStation 5 is a new model released by Sony Interactive Entertainment after 7 years, and consumer response has been so enthusiastic that there is already no stock available in the market.
In this pre-order sale, Electron Land will sell the standard version with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive for 628,000 KRW, and the digital edition product, which allows games to be enjoyed via download, for 498,000 KRW. Both versions have the same performance, with the only difference being the presence or absence of the disc drive.
This is the second time Electron Land is conducting pre-orders for the PlayStation 5. In the first pre-order sale held on November 20th, Electron Land sold out all prepared stock within 5 minutes. This second pre-order sale is also limited in quantity and may close early once stock is depleted, with a purchase limit of one unit per ID. Electron Land plans to sequentially deliver the products to customers who successfully purchase after December 24th.
An Electron Land representative said, “Since console game devices are also popular as Christmas gifts, we expect even faster sell-outs in the second pre-order sale,” and added, “We hope customers purchase in advance and enjoy a joyful year-end with the latest games.”
