LG Electronics explained that among the five 'Best Gaming TVs of the Year' selected by the U.S. business magazine Forbes, LG OLED TVs accounted for three models. The 65-inch LG OLED TV, which was named '2020 Best Gaming TV' in the overall evaluation, along with the LG Signature OLED 8K and the 48-inch LG OLED TV, were respectively selected as the 'Best 8K Gaming TV' and the 'Best Gaming TV for Monitors.'
Forbes highly rated the LG OLED TV for its fast 1ms response time, 120Hz refresh rate displaying 120 frames per second at 4K resolution, and overwhelming contrast ratio.
Another U.S. IT media outlet, CNET, selected the LG OLED TV (CX) as the best TV for next-generation game consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, stating, "The LG OLED TV is not only the highest-performing TV tested so far but also the best-prepared product for the new gaming consoles."
The U.S. review specialist media Reviewed.com chose the LG OLED TV (CX) as the best gaming TV and evaluated it as the best choice for using PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Additionally, media outlets such as the UK’s HDTVTest, GamesRadar, and Canada’s Altings also selected the LG OLED TV as the best product for gaming.
The LG OLED TV emits light from each pixel without a backlight, delivering overwhelming picture quality and a superior 1ms response time compared to liquid crystal display (LCD) TVs, making it the optimal TV for immersive next-generation gaming. In particular, it is the first in the TV industry to incorporate all graphics compatibility features that minimize screen tearing, including NVIDIA’s ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ and AMD’s ‘Radeon FreeSync.’
