[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] With the 2021 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) just three days away, the number of examinees confirmed positive for COVID-19 related to the CSAT in Seoul was counted as 12 as of the 30th.
Park Yumi, Seoul's quarantine controller, stated in an online COVID-19 briefing that "there are 12 confirmed positive examinees related to the CSAT, and 57 are in self-quarantine."
Park further explained, "The confirmed positive examinees will take the exam at two test sites located at Seoul Medical Center and Namsan Residential Treatment Center, and they are currently receiving treatment. Those in self-quarantine will take the exam at 22 separate test sites."
The city announced that to prevent the spread of infection immediately after the CSAT, mobile screening clinics will be set up on December 4th and 5th to conduct preemptive testing of CSAT supervisors.
Park urged, "The CSAT will be held on December 3rd. We ask examinees to take the test safely and actively participate in social distancing to prevent the spread of infection for everyone's health."
