[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Lotte Construction announced on the 30th that it won the Grand Prize (Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award) at the 11th "2020 Construction Quality Management Awards" ceremony, hosted by the Korea Construction Quality Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The award ceremony was held on the 27th at an office located in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. It was organized to promote exemplary cases in the construction industry that realize construction safety by encouraging the proper establishment of quality management systems at construction sites and continuous improvement activities.
In this evaluation, Lotte Construction was recognized for its efforts to maximize customer satisfaction, including the operation of a systematic quality management plan in accordance with ISO9001:2015 quality management system requirements and the Construction Technology Promotion Act at the Cheongnyangni District 4 Urban Environment Improvement Project site.
Park Soon-jeon, Head of Lotte Construction Technology Research Institute, said, "This award is the result of Lotte Construction's systematic efforts in quality management so far," and added, "We will continue to focus on standardized quality management systems and innovation to become a leader in construction trends."
