IBK Industrial Bank, Digital Card 'Mobile-Only One Year of Excitement' Launched

Up to 700,000 KRW Cashback Based on Annual Spending at All Affiliated Stores Regardless of Simple Payment Type

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 30th that it has launched a digital card called ‘Mobile-Only Year of Excitement’ that can be used immediately upon issuance without a physical card.

When office workers apply for the card issuance through the smart banking application ‘i-ONE Bank,’ they can use it within 10 minutes. When applying for the card, if they select their preferred simple payment service such as Samsung Pay or Kakao Pay, the card information is automatically registered.

The card benefits provide cashback up to KRW 700,000 based on the annual usage amount at all domestic and international merchants, regardless of the type of simple payment or whether it is used online or offline.

The annual fee for the card is KRW 7,000 for Visa and KRW 5,000 for UnionPay. Card issuance can be applied for through the smart banking application i-ONE Bank and at branches.

An IBK Industrial Bank official said, “The ‘Year of Excitement’ card, which offers benefits regardless of online or offline usage, is IBK’s first digital card combined with the untact payment trend,” adding, “In addition to cashback benefits, advantages include a lower annual fee compared to physical cards and the convenience of immediate use upon issuance.”
