Gwangju Buk-gu to Implement Online Passport Issuance Reservation Service Starting December 1

This reservation service was prepared to establish an online reservation system in advance, considering the increased demand following the implementation of the next-generation electronic passport (in 2021) and to provide contactless civil service amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

After simple identity verification on the Buk-gu Office website, users can reserve their desired time slot from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and visit the district comprehensive civil service office, where they can receive service at a dedicated counter without waiting.

In particular, if applicants fill out the application form available on the website in advance before visiting, they can apply for passport issuance within 3 minutes.

Moon In, Mayor of Buk-gu, said, “By applying for a passport through the online reservation service and using the registered mail service, the civil service processing time is reduced, and passports can be issued without revisiting.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to protect the safety of residents and staff from COVID-19 and provide more convenient civil services.”
