SK Networks Releases 'Mintit ATM' Advertisement Featuring Actor Ahn Jae-hong

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SK Networks' used phone recycling brand Mintit announced on the 30th that it has produced a video advertisement featuring actor Ahn Jae-hong to promote the services of 'Mintit ATM' and will distribute it through various channels such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

This campaign was designed not only to raise awareness of Mintit ATM but also to encourage customer participation by prompting them to immediately retrieve used phones lying dormant at home. It highlights the advantages of Mintit ATM, which easily and conveniently resolves the hassles of P2P transactions and difficulties in used phone store dealings, delivering the participation message "Trade your used phone with Mintit."

In June, Mintit produced its first advertising campaign with actor Ahn Jae-hong, recording approximately 4.9 million cumulative views on YouTube. Through this, more than 60,000 used phones are collected monthly via Mintit ATM amid high interest.

A Mintit representative said, "Through the previous campaign, we were able to cleverly present Mintit ATM, a new method of used phone distribution, together with actor Ahn Jae-hong, increasing customer interest," adding, "We hope that more customers will participate in used phone transactions through Mintit ATM, leading to the creation of social value."

Launched last year, Mintit ATM is Korea's first used phone ATM equipped with artificial intelligence functions. When a phone is inserted into the device, it immediately performs function checks, price inquiries, as well as sales and donations on-site.

Additionally, the project has encouraged market participation from customers who had not previously brought out their used phones and has received significant social acclaim by supporting ICT-vulnerable children through clear and easy used phone donations. Furthermore, Mintit is creating social value by promoting resource recycling and environmental conservation through used phone recycling.
