[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] NH NongHyup Life announced on the 29th that it has launched the 'NH Ssok Ssok Golla Cancer Insurance,' which can be subscribed to online anytime and anywhere.
This is a 'DIY (Do It Yourself)' type product that allows you to add only the necessary cancer coverage according to family history or lifestyle habits in addition to basic cancer coverage. It provides coverage for six major cancer sites, including lung, liver, and stomach, as optional riders.
The main contract is composed of KRW 5 million, and the riders are KRW 10 million, structured as a single unit.
The subscription age ranges from 20 to 60 years old, and the insurance period is up to age 80 (renewable every 20 years). Customers in their 20s to 40s who need their first cancer insurance can receive reasonable cancer coverage, while customers who already have cancer insurance can strengthen coverage for additional desired cancer sites.
The premium is affordable: for full coverage of the six cancer site riders, with a 20-year payment period and monthly payment basis, it is KRW 2,320 for 20-year-old males, KRW 6,920 for 40-year-old males, KRW 2,520 for 20-year-old females, and KRW 4,770 for 40-year-old females.
An NH NongHyup Life official stated, "Interest in non-face-to-face insurance subscriptions has increased due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "We will expand products that can be subscribed to via smart devices to meet customer insurance needs in the post-COVID era."
