[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] As indoor living increases due to the resurgence of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), demand for premium home cinema projectors is rising.
According to the industry on the 29th, Samsung Electronics' cinema projector 'The Premiere' recently entered the Chinese market. It is known that the company signed an official sales agency contract for The Premiere laser projector series with a local Chinese company under Longying Industrial Co., Ltd. in mid-last month.
The Premiere is a lifestyle TV that applies triple laser technology to provide consumers with a cinema-like screen experience even in a home environment.
The high-end model equipped with triple laser can expand the screen up to 330.2 cm (130 inches), and Samsung Electronics' high-definition technology is applied as is, allowing users to enjoy 4K quality identical to that realized on TVs.
In addition, with a maximum brightness of 2800 ANSI lumens, it is possible to watch high-definition videos without restrictions even in bright environments. The 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio also offers excellent performance in expressing dark images.
The Premiere is the first projector product to officially obtain HDR10+ and Filmmaker Mode certifications, and it provides the best movie viewing environment with powerful built-in woofers and acoustic beams delivering 40W surround sound.
LG Electronics also launched the 'LG CineBeam Laser 4K' in the domestic market this month, significantly upgrading both image quality and convenience.
The new product is the first to feature the 'Triple Screen Adjustment' function, which allows customers to project a screen of the desired shape at the desired position regardless of where the projector is placed. Accordingly, the lens direction can be adjusted up, down, left, and right, or zoomed up to 1.6 times. The screen can also be stretched or shrunk at 12 points along the edges.
It also supports 4K UHD resolution with a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The brightness is 2700 ANSI lumens, equivalent to turning on 2700 candles simultaneously. It meets 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut standard set by the Digital Cinema Initiatives.
The screen size can be adjusted from 40 inches (approximately 1 meter diagonal) up to 300 inches (approximately 7.62 meters diagonal), making it usable in various spaces.
