Gangnam-gu Produces '2021 Health Calendar for Boosting Immunity'


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu District Office (Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has produced the ‘2021 Health Calendar to Boost Immunity’ this month for residents whose interest in healthy lifestyles and exercise has increased due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


This health calendar was planned to help improve the immunity of Gangnam-gu residents and aid in the prevention and management of chronic diseases. It includes six sessions of ‘Office Health Exercises’ focused on stretching to promote blood circulation and strengthen muscles.


The district plans to prioritize distribution to welfare facilities, educational institutions, and companies starting December 10.


The ‘Office Health Exercises,’ developed directly by the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center, consist of ▲ 9 AM ‘3-Minute Exercise to Start a Refreshing Morning’ ▲ 11 AM ‘Softening a Stiff Neck’ ▲ 2 PM ‘Relieving Tense Shoulders’ ▲ 4 PM ‘Lightening Heavy Hands’ ▲ 7 PM ‘Seated Abdominal Exercises’ and ‘Shoulder Exercises Using a Towel.’


The health exercises can also be viewed as videos on the Gangnam-gu District Office website.


Yang O-seung, Director of the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center, said, “We hope this health calendar will help boost immunity even a little.” He added, “In the era of With COVID-19, we will strive to prepare programs that allow all residents to easily access health-related information.”
