[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 related to a PC bang in Sejong City have been added. This brings the total number of confirmed cases linked to the PC bang in Boram-dong, Sejong City, to six.
According to Sejong City on the 28th, after one confirmed case (Sejong No. 90) on the 23rd, two more cases (Nos. 95-96) were confirmed on the 26th, and three additional cases (Nos. 97-99) were confirmed on the 28th, totaling six cases.
Three family members of the No. 95 confirmed case and two family members of the No. 96 confirmed case underwent COVID-19 testing the previous day and are awaiting results.
The quarantine authorities conducted a full investigation of 174 users who visited the PC bang since the 21st. These individuals were infected sequentially after contact with a confirmed case from Gwanak-gu, Seoul (Gwanak No. 511) at a PC bang in Boram-dong, Sejong City, on the 21st.
The No. 97 confirmed case, in their 30s, developed symptoms (fever, body aches) on the 25th and tested positive after visiting a hospital for testing. Four cohabiting family members are scheduled for testing today.
The No. 98 confirmed case, in their 20s, developed symptoms (chills, fever) on the 24th and tested positive, with two cohabiting family members scheduled for testing today.
The No. 99 confirmed case, also in their 20s, developed symptoms (chills) on the 25th and tested positive on the 28th after testing at a public health center.
These confirmed cases have been transferred to Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital and Asan Life Treatment Center for care.
The quarantine authorities are disinfecting the routes of the additional confirmed cases and identifying their contacts. As of 9 a.m. on the 28th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Sejong City has increased to 99.
