[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun visited Daegu on the 28th and stated, "The government will actively support Daegu to become a model case for regional expansion of the Korean New Deal and a leading city in future new industries."

Prime Minister Chung attended the launch ceremony of the Daegu Mobile Collaborative Robot Regulatory Free Zone in the afternoon and said, "The mobile collaborative robot zone will have a positive ripple effect on Daegu's economy and lead the smartization of manufacturing sites."

This visit to Daegu marks Prime Minister Chung's first in about seven months. He stayed in Daegu for about 20 days from the end of February when confirmed cases surged, and after the situation ended, he visited Daegu again on April 11 for a situation check.

On this day, Prime Minister Chung assessed the local economic situation and emphasized the government's willingness to support revitalizing the economy.
