According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 28th, as of 6 p.m. on that day, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 5, bringing the total cumulative cases to 680.

There are 3 local infections and 2 imported cases.

Cases 676 and 680, residing in Nongsong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, are family members, and their infection routes are currently under investigation.

Case 679 is a resident of Chipyeong-dong, Seo-gu, who was classified as a contact of case 370 in Gyeongnam and was under self-quarantine; they tested positive in a pre-release test.

Cases 667 and 668 are imported cases who arrived from the United States. Upon arrival in Gwangju, they were immediately placed in facility quarantine at the Fire Academy dormitory, tested, and confirmed positive.
