[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 28th regarding Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae's suspension of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, "When asked whether Minister Choo had the power to do such a thing arbitrarily, I think President Moon Jae-in tacitly allowed it to some extent in advance."

Chairman Kim made these remarks while encouraging first-term lawmakers holding a solo protest in front of the Blue House, saying, "Because President Moon is not saying anything about this situation, the public is even more frustrated."

Chairman Kim criticized, "Minister Choo's actions are incomprehensible by ordinary common sense," and added, "It is a common phenomenon for ordinary people to turn on the TV and feel extremely disgusted watching Minister Choo's behavior."

Regarding the parliamentary investigation, Chairman Kim pressured, "The ruling party leader proposed a parliamentary investigation, and we agreed, but on the contrary, they are hesitating. I cannot understand what they are aiming for."

While encouraging People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Sang-beom, who was protesting that day, Chairman Kim said, "People who claim to have participated in the democratization movement are committing acts that destroy the basic order of democracy, yet they do not even know what they are doing. They have no awareness at all," and added, "Because they are acting against common sense, the public is experiencing such a government for the first time."

First-term lawmakers of the People Power Party have been holding protests in front of the Blue House since the day before, demanding a statement from President Moon.
