[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Jeollanam-do Gurye-gun announced on the 28th that it conducted Green New Deal Flower Chaeun expert training for eco-friendly urban regeneration that combines pristine nature and wildflowers.
Flower Chaeun is a Korean term meaning "filled with flowers."
This training was held a total of 11 times on the first and third Fridays of each month from June 5 to November 13, and certificates of completion were awarded to 20 trainees.
The training covered over 500 species of wildflowers and about 100 species of flowering plants, from basic to advanced management techniques, through theoretical and practical education. It included demonstration education condensed with Green New Deal urban regeneration and colorful fragrant wildflowers, know-how on creating urban gardens and flower beds, making alleys that attract visitors with various flowering plants, and flower photography education, conducted in depth.
Jung Yeon-gwon, head of the Gurye-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center, said, "We planned the training to achieve village regeneration through people rather than construction-centered approaches," and added, "We will continue to provide additional training so that the Flower Chaeun experts trained this time and residents become leaders who create a beautiful colorful fragrant wildflower village in Gurye that they cultivate themselves."
County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, "We will continue to train Flower Chaeun experts suitable for Gurye’s conditions where nature breathes, create jobs, and actively support eco-friendly urban regeneration."
