This regular personnel appointment and organizational restructuring focused on maintaining organizational stability as much as possible while preparing the foundation for future growth and a new leap through internal changes, considering the increasing uncertainty of external environments such as the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Strategic personnel placements were made to efficiently respond to the changing management environment by promoting next-generation talents whose capabilities have been verified and to achieve balanced growth among BGF Group affiliates. CEO Hong Jeong-guk plans to strengthen responsible management through this personnel appointment and focus on discovering and nurturing new growth foundations across the group.
BGF Retail, the operator of convenience store CU led by CEO Lee Geon-jun, reinforced its response to external environmental changes and secured future competitiveness by reorganizing field organizations, establishing a Product Innovation TFT, and strengthening the Overseas Business Office.
Additionally, the group announced promotions for a total of eight executives, including promoting CEO Hong Jeong-guk of the investment company BGF from Vice President to President.
