33rd Confirmed COVID-19 Case Reported in Mokpo, Jeonnam

According to Mokpo City on the 27th, the confirmed patient A, who tested positive on this day, is identified as a woman in her 50s residing in Yeonsan-dong.

Patient A stayed as a caregiver for her husband B, who was hospitalized at Jeonnam National University Hospital from the 11th to the 15th. After his discharge on the 15th, she was classified as a close contact at Jeonnam National University Hospital. She tested negative in the first diagnostic test on the 16th and was under self-quarantine. Before the self-quarantine was lifted, she tested positive in the second test on the afternoon of the 27th, becoming the 33rd confirmed case in Mokpo.

A representative from the Mokpo City Health Center stated, "Patient A has been under self-quarantine since the 15th and has no contacts," and added, "A second COVID-19 test is currently underway for her husband B."

In Mokpo, following the 32nd confirmed case reported on the 25th, a new confirmed case has emerged after two days.
