[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), which was under prosecution investigation over allegations of manipulating the economic feasibility evaluation of Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 and had to shut down six nuclear reactors due to typhoons 'Maysak' and 'Haishen,' has transferred and replaced 40% of key personnel in the nuclear power headquarters and other core positions.

On the 27th, KHNP announced that it had conducted personnel appointments for 29 executives at the level of nuclear power headquarters chiefs and department/division heads. Among the five nuclear power headquarters, young management was assigned to four headquarters chief positions.

KHNP explained that the reason for the personnel appointments was to enhance competitiveness in the nuclear power sector, which is their 'main business.'

A KHNP official said, "Through this personnel reshuffle, we aimed to strengthen competitiveness in the core nuclear power sector while securing momentum for new business areas such as digital projects."

For the first time, a female employee was promoted to the 1(Gap) grade. Jeon Hyesoo was appointed as the new head of the Digital Innovation Promotion Team to drive the 4th Industrial Revolution and digital innovation.

About 40% of approximately 70 key personnel, including on-site plant managers, were transferred and replaced.
