Special Annual Interest Rate of 5.5% Offered for Simultaneous Subscription to Housing Subscription Savings and MyHome Savings Account
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Bank announced on the 27th that it will offer a special interest rate of 5.5% on the 'Shinhan My Home Savings' for customers in their 20s who have not subscribed to the Housing Subscription Comprehensive Savings through the 'Hey Young Special Interest Rate Event.'
This event applies to customers born between 1990 and 2002 who have not subscribed to the Housing Subscription Comprehensive Savings at Shinhan Bank and newly subscribe to the 'Shinhan My Home Savings' during the event period. The existing maximum annual interest rate of 2.2% will be increased by an additional preferential interest rate of 3.3% per year, applying a special maximum annual interest rate of 5.5%. It will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 20,000 accounts, one account per person, from December 3 until the end of the year.
'Shinhan My Home Savings' is a one-year product with a basic interest rate of 1.2% per annum, available only on the day of new subscription to the Housing Subscription Comprehensive Savings, and allows flexible monthly deposits up to 200,000 KRW. If the newly subscribed Housing Subscription Comprehensive Savings is held until the maturity of the 'Shinhan My Home Savings,' an additional preferential interest rate of 1.0% per annum is added, allowing customers to receive up to 2.2% per annum.
To commemorate the provision of the Hey Young special interest rate, Shinhan Bank will provide 'Kakao Emoticons' in real-time to the first 5,000 customers who apply for a pre-alarm and share it with friends on Shinhan SOL for one week starting from the 26th of this month. Additionally, until the end of the year, the first 10,000 new customers of 'Shinhan My Home Savings' will receive Starbucks gifticons, and 30 customers will be selected by lottery to receive a 100,000 KRW Yanolja gift certificate.
A Shinhan Bank official said, "We have prepared a customized event that supports both home ownership and lump-sum savings for customers in their 20s," adding, "We will continue to provide various services to help the younger generation achieve successful financial lives."
Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank launched a new financial brand 'Hey Young' for customers in their 20s last June and released exclusive products reflecting the financial transaction characteristics of people in their 20s, such as 'Hey Young Money Box' and 'Hey Young Check Card.' It also introduced the 'Hey Young Banking Mode' and the dedicated service page 'Hey Young Playground' on SOL for customers in their 20s.
