[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Pine Digital announced on the 27th that it has signed a 'Pineview Home Blackbox Safety Compensation Business Agreement (MOU)' with Hanwha General Insurance.
The Pineview Home Blackbox refers to the lineup of home CCTV products newly developed and planned for sale by Pine Digital. Through this agreement, Pine Digital will provide customers using its home blackbox products with insurance coverage for fire property damage, robbery injury, theft loss, and hacking actual loss for one year after purchase, compensating up to 157 million KRW in case of damage. Through this, Pine Digital plans to pioneer a new home blackbox market where customers can use the products with peace of mind.
Yoon Chang, Executive Director of Pine Digital's Business Division, said, "Instead of monthly subscription-based home CCTV products, we aim to develop a product that reduces consumer burden by applying insurance coverage for one year with a single purchase through this business agreement," adding, "We expect synergy effects in the home blackbox market through cooperation with Hanwha General Insurance."
