[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] A man in his 60s, who was working near Maemuldo, Sinan, Jeollanam-do, suffered severe facial injuries in an accident at sea, prompting the Coast Guard to urgently transport him.


According to Mokpo Coast Guard Station (Chief Jeong Young-jin) on the 27th, at 5:31 PM on the 26th, a crew member Lee (60 years old) of coastal gillnet fishing vessel A (9.77 tons, registered in Jindo, with 8 crew members) was struck in the face by an anchor being wound up while fishing 13 km southeast of Maemuldo, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, resulting in severe bleeding and broken teeth.


The Coast Guard dispatched a patrol boat, met vessel A near Maemuldo, provided emergency treatment to the patient, and moved to Seomang Port, Jindo, at around 7:14 PM, handing him over to the waiting 119 ambulance team.


Thanks to the Coast Guard's assistance, Lee was transported to Jindo Hanguk Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
