Developer Conference 'Reveal 2020' Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang is hosting a conference to exchange technology and experience with developers outside the company. Coupang announced on the 27th that it has started accepting registrations for the developer conference 'Reveal 2020,' which will be held on the 11th of next month.
Reveal 2020 is an event where developers working at Coupang freely share information about the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, as well as the experiences and know-how gained during the service development process. It reveals the difficulties encountered during new attempts and the various know-how obtained in overcoming them.
Coupang explained that the event name 'Reveal' was chosen to express its intention to share and contribute the results of its efforts to develop customer-centric services with the developer community. The event consists of a total of nine sessions. Developers from Coupang's global offices in Korea, China, and the United States will serve as speakers. Sessions are prepared covering topics such as how to accurately predict customer demand using machine learning and the know-how Coupang gained in managing real-time streaming data quickly and cost-effectively using Apache Flink.
In particular, the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Coupang, Tuan Pham, will appear as a speaker and deliver a keynote speech in the form of a talk concert. Reveal 2020 will be held for one day from 10:30 AM to 7 PM on the 11th. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event will be held online only and broadcast live through platforms such as Zoom and YouTube.
Anyone can register for free on the official event website. Registration is possible until the day before the event. All registrants will receive the online live participation link via email one day before the event. The program, speaker lineup, and various events can be checked on the official website.
Junhee Jeon, Vice President in charge of Coupang Rocket Delivery development, said, "Coupang is a tech company that constantly pursues innovation," adding, "Through this conference, we plan to explain in detail the technology Coupang possesses and share Coupang's strategies as a tech company."
