"Not the Last White House Thanksgiving"
"Electors Choosing Biden Is a Mistake"
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that he would leave the White House if President-elect Joe Biden wins the Electoral College vote. However, he also claimed that this Thanksgiving would not be his last Thanksgiving at the White House.
President Trump made these remarks on the 26th (local time) after a video conference with troops in response to reporters' questions. This is the first time Trump has answered questions since the November 3rd presidential election.
At the same time, President Trump asserted, "If the Electoral College certifies Biden as the winner, they are making a mistake."
The Electoral College vote, in which electors chosen by each state in the November 3rd election select the next president, is scheduled for December 14th.
When asked about his plans for the last Thanksgiving at the White House, he ambiguously said, "I don't know if it will be the first or the last," adding, "It could be the first Thanksgiving of a second term."
President Trump also criticized Biden's announcement of cabinet nominees, saying, "I don't think it's right for him to be forming a cabinet."
When asked whether he would attend Biden's inauguration, he said, "I know the answer, but I will not say."
