[Bitcoin Now] Bitcoin Plummets Over 10% in Overseas Markets... Drops to $17,000 Level

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency with the largest market capitalization, fell to the $17,000 level in overseas markets. In the domestic market, it was traded around 19.2 million KRW.

According to CoinMarketCap, an overseas cryptocurrency market data provider, at 7:35 AM on the 27th, Bitcoin was trading at $17,165.10, down 9.40% compared to 24 hours earlier. The trading volume reached $61.7 billion (approximately 68 trillion KRW).


At the same time, other cryptocurrencies also showed a downward trend. Ethereum (-10.65%), Bitcoin Cash (-17.88%), Chainlink (-13.98%), Litecoin (-16.69%), and Stellar (-16.54%) all declined compared to the previous trading day.


In the domestic market, Bitcoin was traded at around 19.2 million KRW. According to the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb, at the same time, Bitcoin was trading at 19,212,000 KRW, up 1.90% (358,000 KRW) from the previous trading day. The daily trading amount reached 244.5 billion KRW.


Other cryptocurrencies maintained slight upward trends. Ripple (6.20%), Ethereum (2.92%), EOS (2.40%), Bitcoin Cash (1.75%), and TRON (3.70%) all rose.


Another digital asset exchange, Upbit, also maintained the 19.2 million KRW level. At the same time, Bitcoin was down 7.58% (1.58 million KRW) from 24 hours earlier, trading at 19.26 million KRW. The daily trading volume was 278 billion KRW.


On Upbit, other cryptocurrencies also showed declines. Ripple (-14.53%), Ethereum (-7.97%), ADA (-13.97%), TRON (-10.08%), EOS (-13.37%), and Chainlink (-9.48%) all fell.
