Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform Established at Incheon Startup Park

Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform Established at Incheon Startup Park Associated word analysis through social big data analysis program [Provided by Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority]

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Ahead of its official opening next month, Incheon Startup Park is establishing an independent 'Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform' and introducing a 'Social Big Data Analysis Program,' which will be fully operational starting next year.

On the 26th, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced that it is introducing these platforms and programs to provide tenant companies at the Startup Park with an environment where they can freely utilize big data and easily develop artificial intelligence.

The Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform is an infrastructure that simplifies the production, collection, management, and sharing of data, allowing AI developers to focus solely on data training and algorithm development.

First, the data portal classifies data collected by linking data from external organizations, tenant institutions, and overseas data portals, making it accessible via the web.

In particular, it is connected with the Incheon Free Economic Zone Smart City Platform, enabling direct production and processing of urban-related data. Going forward, data held by public institutions and companies will be discovered to secure high-demand, high-quality big data.

The AI analysis platform provides a service development environment for startups in the AI field, allowing development, research, and result verification through web access without the need for expensive servers and software.

It also shares various frameworks (various deep learning algorithms that have already been developed and verified) and open AI models necessary for AI training, enabling their use in service development and validation.

Social big data analysis uses information generated from social media (SNS), community boards, blogs, news posts, and comments to instantly grasp consumer and market trends through interest levels in specific keywords, positive/negative sentiment trends, related word maps, and period-based analysis.

Various industries such as finance, public sector, distribution, telecommunications, and manufacturing utilize social big data for business model analysis, promotional strategy establishment, and competitor analysis.

Incheon Startup Park plans to introduce a social big data analysis program that holds over 27.8 billion data points to enable tenant companies to utilize social big data analysis. As a pilot, keyword analysis will be provided to 30 tenant companies, and depending on its utilization, the service will be expanded to the entire Startup Park.

Kim Chungjin, Head of Planning and Coordination at the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "Although the importance of big data and AI is increasingly emphasized, it is very difficult for individual startups to secure vast amounts of data and build AI development environments. The introduction of these platforms and programs will serve as a foundation for tenant companies at Incheon Startup Park to create new business models."
