[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Maritime Police Agency recently conducted inspections targeting its jurisdictional maritime police substations, considering the recent resurgence of COVID-19 spreading to Jeju, urging thorough COVID-19 prevention management by checking self-quarantine status and compliance with quarantine rules.
On the afternoon of the 26th, Go Min-gwan, Chief of Jeju Maritime Police, inspected the self-quarantine management status and adherence to quarantine rules of maritime police officers aboard patrol vessels docked at Hallim and the maritime police exclusive pier under Jeju Maritime Police. He also requested that when interacting with outsiders such as anglers and fishermen, masks must be worn and social distancing observed, and urged the promotion of awareness regarding the recently resurging COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Jeju Maritime Police has been implementing measures to prevent the spread of infection related to the recent COVID-19 resurgence, including expanding work-from-home by department, implementing staggered commuting hours, and refraining from various gatherings and trips outside Jeju Island.
