Trump Shows Election Rejection Moves Through Political Events and SN
Asia Economy reporter Naju-seok] U.S. President Donald Trump, who seemed to accept the presidential election results by approving the transition process of the General Services Administration (GSA), has begun to show active refusal again.
On the 25th (local time), President Trump joined a Republican hearing held at a hotel in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, via phone and claimed that he won this election. He elaborately argued that evidence related to election fraud is pouring in. However, CNN and other broadcasters reported that there was no verified material or specific testimony from President Trump.
Pennsylvania, the biggest battleground in this election, has officially confirmed that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden won. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court also found no reason to overturn the election results.
It was initially reported that President Trump considered visiting the event venue. Although not publicly disclosed, it was internally reviewed whether to attend the event.
Eventually, President Trump invited Pennsylvania Republican lawmakers to the White House. According to CNN, President Trump is scheduled to meet these lawmakers at the White House.
President Trump's Twitter was also mostly filled with content related to election fraud or issues concerning this election. Tweets such as "This election was rigged, but we will win" were posted or retweeted, claiming election fraud. President Trump introduced a post stating "Most Republicans will vote for President Trump again in the 2024 election," while also mentioning, "However, the 2020 election is far from over."
Because of this, despite recommending the GSA to prepare for the transition, President Trump still shows no intention to concede the election. He is considering participating in a similar event next week in Michigan, which also officially confirmed Biden's victory.
