[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeollanam-do Provincial Council announced that the "Jeollanam-do Parental Education Support Ordinance," proposed by Assemblyman Lim Young-soo (Boseong 1, Democratic Party), passed the Health, Welfare, and Environment Committee review on the 26th.
This ordinance was prepared to institutionalize the activation of parental education so that parents can practice proper parental roles and build healthy families.
The main content includes all learning activities that support parents in acquiring the knowledge, information, and skills necessary for the proper growth of their children, enabling them to smoothly perform their parental roles.
In particular, the ordinance specifies that the governor shall provide opportunities for parental education to residents and include matters related to program research, development, evaluation, and funding in the annual health family education plan established and implemented.
Assemblyman Lim Young-soo stated, "With the increase in dual-income and single-parent families, family care and educational functions have weakened," adding, "I hope that by activating parental education, parents' capabilities will be enhanced, contributing to making Jeonnam a healthy place for families."
