[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province (Mayor Yoo Jinseop) announced on the 26th that it is accepting recommendations for outstanding proactive public officials for the second half of this year from citizens and public officials until the 30th.
The recommendation targets are public officials who have actively promoted their work and achieved results, public officials who have pursued creative and challenging policies and strived to achieve outcomes, and other public officials who serve as role models to their colleagues through a proactive work attitude.
Recommendations can be submitted by real-name authentication on the 'Proactive Public Official Citizen Recommendation' section opened on the Jeongeup City website or through the 'Proactive Administration On' website operated by the Ministry of Personnel Management.
Public officials recommended by citizens will be reviewed and selected through evaluations by the Proactive Administration Working Committee, employee and citizen evaluations, and deliberations and resolutions by the Proactive Administration Committee, along with public officials recommended by each department and eup/myeon/dong.
Those selected as outstanding public officials will receive personnel incentives such as the highest grade of performance bonuses, additional points in work performance evaluations, and reward leave.
The city expects to strengthen resident participation and communication and to promote proactive administration where public officials can identify and solve problems on their own through the operation of the proactive public official citizen recommendation window.
Mayor Yoo Jinseop said, "We will quickly establish and spread a culture of proactive administration that citizens can feel by protecting and rewarding proactive public officials so that public officials can carry out their duties with a responsible attitude for the citizens."
