The National Employment Support System, which will be implemented starting January next year, is a Korean-style unemployment assistance program that provides both employment support services and livelihood assistance to vulnerable job seekers such as low-income job seekers, young job seekers, middle-aged individuals, and women with career interruptions.
The employment support services are tailored based on the participant's employment barriers and capabilities, in consultation with employment center counselors.
For Type 1 participants, if they diligently carry out job search activities such as employment support programs, they will receive a job promotion allowance of up to 3 million KRW (500,000 KRW per month for 6 months).
The National Employment Support System website (www.국민취업지원제도.com) provides detailed explanations about the system introduction, eligibility, support contents, and application methods.
To commemorate the launch of the website, the Ministry of Employment and Labor is also holding an event on its Facebook page.
The event runs from the 26th to the 2nd of next month, and participants who leave a comment with the National Employment Support System website URL will be entered into a draw to receive a small prize.
