19 New Cases Linked to Jinju Community Leaders... 22 New Confirmed Cases in Gyeongnam

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju-cheol In] The spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) originating from the community leaders in Jinju, Gyeongnam is rapidly increasing.

On the 26th, Gyeongnam Province announced in a COVID briefing that 19 additional cases (Nos. 532?546, 548?551) related to the Jinju community leaders who attended training in Jeju were confirmed.

Among the 19 cases, there were 2 public officials and 1 contract public official included.

Additionally, an 80-year-old woman living in Hapcheon who had contact with a confirmed case from Busan (No. 547), a man in his 20s living in Jinju with an unknown infection route (No. 552), and a woman in her 30s living in Changwon (No. 553) were also confirmed positive.

Health authorities are investigating the infection routes and contacts of these confirmed cases.

Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has increased to 550 (366 discharged, 183 hospitalized, 1 deceased).
