[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Doosan Infracore announced on the 26th that it will participate in the '2020 Smart Construction Technology and Safety Expo' held at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The Smart Construction Technology and Safety Expo is the largest smart construction technology specialized event in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. At this event, Doosan Infracore will introduce advanced construction technologies including ▲SiteCloud (XiteCloud) ▲Concept-X ▲Predictive maintenance and diagnostic technology (PHM) using augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) ▲Wheel loader transparent bucket technology ▲Hydrogen fuel cell drone ▲Smart drilling robot.
SiteCloud is a comprehensive construction site management solution that can analyze earthwork volume and produce optimal construction plans within 1 to 2 days by utilizing 3D drone surveying and a proprietary platform. Additionally, Concept-X is an integrated unmanned automation control solution for construction sites, which was publicly demonstrated for the first time in the world through a showcase last November.
On the same day, an awards ceremony for the ‘Smart Construction Challenge 2020’ competition held by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in September will also take place. The Smart Construction Challenge 2020 is a competition held to promote the achievements of smart construction technology and encourage its application on site. Doosan Infracore will receive the grand prize, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award, in the ‘Earthwork Automation and Advanced Surveying’ category for its SiteCloud and machine control technology that semi-automatically performs tasks according to input drawings.
A Doosan Infracore official stated, "Following the world’s first introduction of unmanned automation solutions for construction sites last year, we are accelerating the realization of smart construction sites with the launch of SiteCloud this year," adding, "We will lead the realization of a new future for the construction industry by sequentially commercializing various solutions."
