CJ ENM Original Musical 'Werther' Paid Online Performance

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] CJ ENM will present the original musical 'Werther' as a paid online performance.

CJ ENM announced on the 26th that the 20th anniversary performance video of 'Werther' will be streamed live online on Naver TV Sponsorship Live on December 28 and January 4 next year. Tickets will be available for reservation on Naver TV Sponsorship and Interpark Ticket starting from 2 PM on December 11.

Ticket holders can watch the live streaming of the performance featuring Kai, Kim Ye-won, Park Eun-seok, Kim Hyun-sook, and Song Yoo-taek at 8 PM on December 28, and the performance featuring Kyuhyun, Lee Ji-hye, Lee Sang-hyun, Kim Hyun-sook, and Lim Jun-hyuk at 8 PM on January 4 on Naver TV Sponsorship Live.

'Werther' will also be screened online in Japan. It will be available as a paid online streaming service on PIA, Japan's largest ticket reservation site, on December 5 and 6. There will be a total of four streaming sessions over the two days. In January 2013, 'Werther' was invited by PIA to perform a 20-show tour in Japan at the Akasaka ACT Theater in Tokyo, featuring Korean actors. It received enthusiastic acclaim from local audiences at that time.

The musical 'Werther' is a work that adapts Goethe's novel 'The Sorrows of Young Werther,' which tells the noble love story of Werther and Lotte, to suit Korean sensibilities. This year marks its 20th anniversary since its premiere. CJ ENM presented the 20th anniversary commemorative performance of 'Werther' at the Kwanglim Art Center BBCH Hall from September 1 to November 1.

This is CJ ENM's second time offering an online performance service. Previously, in October and November, they presented 'Maybe Happy Ending' as an online performance twice.
