Samsung Electronics Service Conducts Additional Free Inspections for Washing Machines and Kimchi Refrigerators in Winter

A Samsung Electronics Service repair engineer is providing Plus Care service to customers who have requested on-site inspection service.

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Samsung Electronics Service announced on the 26th that it will conduct a 'Winter Plus Care Service' for kimchi refrigerators and washing machines.

The 'Plus Care Service' is a system where repair engineers, when visiting the homes of customers who have requested on-site inspection services, provide free additional inspections of other products besides the ones requested and inform customers about product usage tips.

Samsung Electronics Service implements this service considering the seasonal usage periods of products. It aims to enhance customer convenience by providing customized pre-inspection services before the products are used intensively.

In early summer, air conditioners and refrigerators are inspected; in early winter before the kimchi-making season, kimchi refrigerators are inspected; and in winter, when freezing damage may occur due to cold waves, washing machines are additionally inspected free of charge. Through the Plus Care Service, from March to June this year, three times more customers received additional free inspections for air conditioners and refrigerators compared to the same period last year.

The newly implemented 'Winter Plus Care Service' will be conducted until February next year, targeting kimchi refrigerators and washing machines, for which customer inquiries increase in winter due to kimchi-making and freezing damage.

Inspection items include checking the installation location to prevent washing machine freezing, inspecting the connection status of water supply and drainage hoses, and providing guidance on kimchi storage and temperature settings for kimchi refrigerators. Especially, since this winter is expected to be colder than last year, activities to prevent washing machine freezing will be focused on, such as instructions on removing residual water from drum washing machine drainage pumps and inspection of drainage hoses for fully automatic washing machines.

Additionally, QR codes containing proper usage and management methods for major home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and TVs are provided so that customers can easily and conveniently find the information they need.
