Guidance on Civil Complaints, Key Information by Sector Including Economy, Culture, Health, Education... 2,000 Copies Produced, Distributed to Youth Upon Moving-in Registration
A booklet is being given to a young person who has completed the moving-in registration at the civil service counter.
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) has published a booklet titled "Wise Gangbuk Life," containing useful living information and youth policies, and will distribute it to newly relocated young residents.
The district issued the guidebook with the aim of helping young people who have moved to Gangbuk-gu settle in smoothly.
To include information necessary for actual users, the district held several meetings with local youth organizations to gather opinions and reflected them in the content.
This guidebook is organized by category to allow a quick overview of youth benefit policies.
Under "Living Civil Complaints," it contains answers to common questions that may arise when first arriving in the area, such as how to issue civil complaint documents and precautions for garbage disposal. It is full of practical information like free legal consultations, shared rental stations, and exchanging 1 roll of toilet paper per 1kg of milk cartons.
Youth can easily check essential items by sector such as economy, culture, safety, and health. It also provides information on parks, tourist attractions, cultural and sports facilities, as well as public rental housing and automatic insurance benefits. Vivid educational information such as native speaker video English lessons, non-face-to-face book services, and subway book loan reservations can also be found.
Located near the end of the booklet, "Customized by Neighborhood" and "Youth Gangbuk" sections include autonomous community center programs reflecting neighborhood characteristics and the district’s youth welfare policies.
It also includes an introduction to youth cooperatives that can form communities with young people in the area, including the one-person youth household leisure culture project "Wise Youth Life."
A total of 2,000 copies of the booklet were produced. The district plans to place them at the district office civil service counters and each neighborhood community center and distribute them to young people registering their residence.
The booklet can also be read as an e-book in the digital publicity hall (promotional booklets) on the district office website.
Park Gyeom-su, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, "We expect this booklet to be a useful living guide for those who have become Gangbuk residents for the first time," and added, "We will continue to strive to make the city a better place for young people to live."
