Dongjin Lee, Chairman of the Seoul District Mayors' Council, Presides Over the 155th Regular Meeting via Online Video Conference

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seoul Metropolitan Council of District Mayors (Chairman Lee Dong-jin, Dobong District Mayor) held its 155th regular meeting on the 25th at 8 a.m., with 25 district mayors in attendance.

This regular meeting was held as a non-face-to-face video conference due to the difficulty of holding in-person meetings amid the ongoing spread of COVID-19 centered in the metropolitan area and the strengthening of social distancing level 2 measures in the metropolitan area.

The council reviewed and approved three major agenda items adopted for discussion with the Seoul Metropolitan Government at the 154th regular meeting: improvements to inconveniences related to the purchase of urban railway public bonds, the transfer and operation of donated public facilities to autonomous districts, and the proposal to form a task force for the development and institutional improvement of village buses.

Additionally, three other agenda items were discussed, including joint inspections of registered rental business operators' violations and property tax refunds to promote the Good Landlord Project.

Chairman Lee Dong-jin stated, “We held this non-face-to-face video meeting amid the serious situation of the COVID-19 level 2 escalation. I hope everyone actively practices the elevated social distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and through information sharing among autonomous districts, let us work together to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.”
