Korea Zeisei X Hanwha Life Hold a Business Agreement Ceremony for Dementia Care Startup Contest

On the 20th, Korea Eisai and Hanwha Life announced that they held a business agreement ceremony for a dementia care startup contest. By leveraging the expertise and capabilities of both companies, they are expected to revitalize the senior life care ecosystem, which is significant as it marks the first step in spreading awareness and improving perceptions related to cognitive impairment and dementia diseases.

The business agreement ceremony between Korea Eisai and Hanwha Life Dreamplus aims to activate the senior care ecosystem. Accordingly, both companies plan to utilize their expertise to build a digital healthcare platform, thereby establishing a sustainable senior life ecosystem. Korea Eisai, as a specialized dementia care company, will fully demonstrate its capabilities and establish a multifaceted cooperation system with Hanwha Life Dreamplus.


At the ceremony, Kim Eun-ho, Director of Korea Eisai, Jo Jeong-yeon, Center Head of Hanwha Life Dreamplus Gangnam, and officials from both companies attended the event.


Kim Eun-ho, Director of Korea Eisai, stated, “We are pleased to collaborate with Hanwha Life Dreamplus and expect to create greater synergy through the capabilities of both companies,” adding, “Overall, this agreement will contribute to revitalizing the dementia life care ecosystem.”


Moon Hyo-il, Executive Director of Hanwha Life, said, “Hanwha Life has focused on preparing related products such as insurance for old-age security, an indispensable element in an aging society,” and added, “Using this agreement as a stepping stone, we plan to have a direct and indirect impact on expanding the senior care market together with Korea Eisai, which has expertise in this field.”


Meanwhile, Korea Eisai is pursuing various projects aimed at people-centered healthcare that considers patients and their families. It is the Korean branch of the global pharmaceutical company Eisai Co., Ltd. Recently, it signed an agreement with AI specialist Hi Co., Ltd. and launched ‘Saemi,’ a non-face-to-face/non-contact cognitive enhancement training service.


Hanwha Life Dreamplus opened the first fintech startup incubating center by a domestic insurance company in 2016, named ‘Dreamplus 63 Fintech Center.’ Since then, it has operated the open innovation space ‘Dreamplus Gangnam Center,’ conducting various collaborations with multiple business players including large corporations, startups, and investors.
