According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 25th, at around 8:26 a.m., the Jeju Police Coast Guard officers arrived at the scene at around 8:34 a.m. after receiving a report from a tourist that a man was collapsed on the rocky shore near Yongduam in Yongdam-dong, Jeju City, and confirmed the deceased male.
The deceased was a man in his 40s, a Jeju resident, wearing a black padded jacket and gray suit pants, and had a wallet and a cellphone among his belongings.
The Jeju Coast Guard stated that they plan to conduct a detailed investigation into the cause of death by reviewing nearby CCTV footage and interviewing people around the area.
