According to Gyeongbuk Province, 2 of the cases are a student at Gimcheon University, where a cluster infection occurred, and a resident of Yeongcheon, while 1 case is imported from overseas.


At Gimcheon University, the number of confirmed cases increased to 17 as of midnight on the 25th, following continuous cases linked to a confirmed patient who visited a restaurant and a PC cafe since the 19th. Among them, 12 are students, and 7 are related confirmed cases.


In Yeongju, a family member of an existing confirmed patient tested positive on the 24th. Since a resident in their 70s was confirmed on the 21st, the number of linked infections has increased to 10 over four days: 2 on the 22nd, 6 on the 23rd, and 1 on the 24th.


Kim Jin-hyun, Director of Welfare and Health Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, appealed, "COVID-19 is infiltrating daily life," urging people to "stay home if possible, rest if you are sick, and strictly follow quarantine rules such as wearing masks."


Meanwhile, in Gyeongbuk Province, after a brief slowdown in new confirmed cases on November 13-14, the number of new cases over the past 10 days since the 15th has reached 83, raising concerns among local residents.
