Even Small-Scale and Single-Person Sellers with Low Shipping Volumes Use Parcel Services at Minimum Levels
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 25th that it has newly launched the 'Partner Carrier Program' to support small-scale sellers with low delivery volumes in its marketplace.
Individual sellers, startups, and small business owners often find it difficult to regularly use the services of major courier companies. Sellers experience many inconveniences in preparing customer deliveries, such as having to personally visit convenience stores or post offices to send products or manually process return requests, and paying high delivery fees per shipment.
The 'Partner Carrier Program' allows small-scale sellers with a low monthly number of shipments to easily use courier services at affordable costs without burden. It is available immediately through online application, and Coupang Marketplace sellers who apply for the program can use the 'Hanjin One-Click Courier Service' at the lowest cost for up to 500 shipments per month.
Additionally, through Coupang's sales management system (Wing), sellers can conveniently handle the entire process from delivery reservation to invoice issuance and delivery status confirmation without accessing the courier company's management page. If sellers request delivery reservation before 3 PM on weekdays, same-day pickup is possible, and the service can be used easily without separate processes such as printing waybills.
Tommy O'Brien, Director of Coupang Marketplace, said, "Small business owners can now enjoy the courier services of major courier companies through the Partner Carrier Program. We hope that small sellers will reduce the burden of delivery costs and delivery management through the Partner Carrier Program and focus more on business growth." He added, "Coupang Marketplace will continue to introduce various programs to support sellers' rapid growth and improve their selling experience."
